Rutherford Hill Winery sits in the famous Rutherford Bench of Napa Valley. The winery was founded in 1976, the founders believing the conditions there would be ideal for Merlot, were among the first in California to concentrate on that varietal. The original partnership sold the winery to their distributor, the Terlato Wine Group, in 1996. The Terlato family's emphasis on quality above all soon elevated the Rutherford Hill name to new heights, and today the winery is synonymous with fine Merlot. |
