Cherries and berries are the signature of Pinot Noir, overlaid with layers of subtle flavors. This wine has all of that, and cries out for friendly dinners and barbecues.
It is also an excellent example of what the growth of the wine industry and modern techniques can bring us: reasonably priced good wine, available to anyone through a local store.
The Fess Parker Winery, founded in 1987, has rapidly become one of the acclaimed Santa Barbara producers of Pinot Noir. The grape has found a home here, where the cool climate suits the vines, and with a winemaker dedicated to his craft.
