Wine of the Month 2000 Nielsen Estates Proprietor's Reserve 9
Rocktown Road 908-788-0400
Comment: Here is the wine for Easter dinner when you want to impress the family. In the discussion of a wine to go with the Recipe of the Month, we concentrated on the bargains available in the market today. Unionville's 2000 Nielsen Estates Proprietor Reserve won't qualify for many people's bargain lists, but it will entice your palate and bring smiles to the lips of your guests with the traditional leg of lamb on many Easter tables. A blend of Cabernet Franc (95%) and Chambourcin (5%) aged in American Oak for twelve months, the Proprietor's Reserve will go with beef and pasta as well. It has a dry Bordeaux-style, fruity to start with a finish that lingers. In 2002, it won the Governor's Cup for Unionville at the 17th Annual New Jersey Wine Competition along with a Gold, and won a Silver medal at the San Francsico Wine Competition of Intervin International. We highly recommend you get some before it is all gone. If you can, drop by their tasting room in Ringoes. This may be their
best, but it is not the only Unionville wine you will like. |
