This Vidal Blanc took a Double Gold medal and the Best White Wine at the recent New York Wine and Food Classic.  This is a crisp wine noted for floral aromas and apple tastes.  Sure to be a winner with chicken and seafood.

Swedish Hill Vineyard, owned by Dick and Cindy Peterson, is on Cayuga Lake in the Finger Lakes region of New York.  Growing from a small start in 1986, they now produce 50,000 cases per year and own a second winery (Goose Watch) that specializes in lesser-known grape varieties.

Over the last 20 years Swedish Hill has built an impressive record for affordable, award-winning wines.  In the 2005 New York Wine and Food Classic, 10 different Swedish Hill wines took medals, including four Double Golds.
