Strawberry Wine?  Who the heck picks Strawberry Wine as the Wine of the Month?  Is that what you're thinking?

Well, we generally don't like non-grape wines either.  But back in 1995 we were out with some friends and we stopped in at Baldwin Vineyards.  Liked the people, liked the wine, liked the place.  Started touring other wineries, and eventually started Weekend Winery.  Through it all we've kept going back to Baldwin.

We've tried other strawberry wines at other wineries.  We've never found one like this.  Jack Baldwin says his only secret is that he uses 100% strawberries to make the wine, but other people have told us that and it has never been as good.  Great with cake, drinkable on its own if you're in the mood for something slightly -- but not cloyingly -- sweet.
