Brotherhood Winery Holiday Wine PO Box 190 100 Brotherhood Plaza Drive Washingtonville, NY 10992
(914) 496-3661
Winemaker: Cesar Baeza
Comment: Brotherhood's Holiday wine is a spiced red that fits the spirit of the holidays like the proverbial glove. This mulled wine is the one to open while entertaining friends in front of the fireplace or trimming the tree. We have served it at room temperature, but we have also had it warmed up. Great for parties, especially if you want to serve a spirit-of-the-season glass to people who don't like eggnog.
This is not a great wine to savor like fine champagne or old port. This is a wine to pour liberally and share with friends, and the price makes you want to invite them over just to open a bottle or two.
Brotherhood is the oldest continually active winery in America, founded in 1839, and the Holiday wine has been one of their biggest sellers for many years. Located a bit North of West Point in the Hudson Valley, it is worth stopping in just to see their underground cellars. |
